Overview

Embark on a 26-day journey from Toronto to Vancouver, taking in the highlights of Canada's most iconic destinations. Explore the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls, wander through the charming streets of Québec City, and discover the natural beauty of Banff. From Vancouver, set sail aboard Holland America Line’s Koningsdam, cruising the majestic Inside Passage. Visit Juneau, Alaska's captivating capital, and experience the rich Alaskan Native cultures in Ketchikan.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Toronto

Your journey begins on arrival in Toronto, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Toronto

A Welcome Reception gives you the chance to meet your fellow guests and Travelmarvel Tour Director. Afterwards, embark on a sightseeing tour which takes you to some of Toronto’s many highlights and attractions. Soak up the buzzing atmosphere and cosmopolitan charm of this vibrant city, which is said to be the most culturally diverse in the world.

Day 3: Niagara Falls

Cruise the spectacular Niagara Falls today, which is collectively made up of three impressive waterfalls. You’ll board a thrilling boat cruise for a journey to the base of Horseshoe Falls (raincoats provided), the largest of the three falls.

Insider Experience – Niagara Falls Illumination Tower

Overlook this incredible natural spectacle at dinner before an exclusive visit to the Illumination Tower, where you can project your very own light display onto the Falls.

Day 4: Niagara Falls, Thousand Islands, Ottawa

Today, cruise through the picturesque Thousand Islands of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Glide past tiny islands, castles reminiscent of fairy tales, and waterside mansions. You’ll be taken back to a time when pirates and bootleggers roamed the area, as well as the Gilded Age, when the rich and famous made this region their personal playground.

Day 5: Ottawa

Day 6: Ottawa, Québec City

Following breakfast this morning, your journey continues to Québec City. On the way, you’ll make a stop for a unique drive-through experience in Parc Oméga. As your vehicle winds through the park and passes meadows, lakes and forests, watch out for wildlife, such as moose, deer and wolves. Afterwards, continue your journey to Québec City and in the evening, a special Insider Experience awaits.

Insider Experience – Maple Syrup Sugar Shack

Delight in a hearty Québécois dinner and sample maple syrup in a traditional sugar shack. These small wooden cabins are located in the woods, where sap is collected from maple trees to produce the sweet syrup. You’ll learn all about how this Canadian national treasure is made.

Day 7: Québec City

Day 8: Québec City, Montréal

This morning after breakfast, journey to the city of Montréal. Experience the cosmopolitan city’s thriving arts and culture scene, with its many museums, galleries and theatres. See beautiful buildings and monuments, such as the Notre-Dame Basilica, and explore the many picturesque parks and outdoor spaces. This evening, meet with your fellow travellers to enjoy a special Farewell Dinner.

Day 9: Montreal to Vancouver

Today, fly from Montréal to Vancouver (flight not included) and begin the next chapter of your journey through Canada and Alaska. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, located in the heart of this vibrant city.

Day 10: Vancouver

Enjoy free time today before a Welcome Reception tonight, where you’ll meet with your Western Canada Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Day 11: Vancouver, Sun Peaks

Fall in love with Vancouver and enjoy a sightseeing tour which takes you through some of the city’s most vibrant areas and best-loved attractions, including the Waterfront and historic Gastown. Later, enjoy the scenery as you travel east to Kamloops and travel along the North Thompson River and into the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. Arrive in Sun Peaks and settle in for dinner.

VIA Rail Overnight Option

Perhaps replace days 11 and 12 with a rail journey from Vancouver to Jasper. Spend the morning exploring Vancouver before you board the VIA Rail for your exciting overnight train journey. Additional cost. Enquire for details.

Day 12: Sun Peaks, Jasper

The day ahead promises alpine scenery and adventure in the great outdoors. Follow the famous Yellowhead Highway on your way to picturesque Jasper National Park. En route, you’ll stop in Blue River for an Insider Experience and pass the majestic Mount Robson, which is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Later, arrive in the mountain resort town of Jasper.

Set off on a remarkable river safari to stunning Grizzly Bear Valley, where you’re likely to witness active native wildlife on the riverbank. Cruise along glacier-fed rivers and lakes, and admire remarkable views of the surrounding forest and waterfalls.

VIA Rail Option

Arrive into Jasper and be transferred to your hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure or explore.

Next, visit Emerald Lake, nestled amidst lush pines and dramatic mountain vistas, in Yoho National Park. Continue your journey to Salmon Arm, in the picturesque Shuswap region, named after the once-abundant salmon runs that filled the creeks flowing into the lake.
